World Sustainability Day
Today, 26th October, marks World Sustainability Day, a time to think about the planet, to acknowledge the beauty and fragility of the environment and ecosystems that surround us. The whole purpose of today is to encourage us to do our bit if we want to leave a workable world for future generations. At Erosion Control, environmental sustainability and protection is – and always will be – a touchstone; an integral part of what we are and what we do.
As part of our ongoing drive to prevent what we can of our products ending up in landfill, Erosion Control buys back surplus-to-requirement Floc Boxes™ from selected projects, equips all recovered boxes with new fittings and taps, and makes the newly refurbished items available to our customers at favourably reduced rates.
Recently refurbished Floc Boxes™ are available now from both our Auckland and Waikato branches in the following sizes:
- Auckland – 200L
- Waikato – 200L
Taking recycling to the next level in the Waikato
While we’re on the subject of taking our sustainability drive to new heights, Erosion Control is also looking at reusing or recycling our Drums and IBCs wherever possible. And it doesn’t stop there. For any of our products that are past the point of having a new lease of life breathed into them and are unable to be reused, we have aligned ourselves with some local plastic recyclers for both our hard & soft plastics – anything to keep them out of the landfill.
